This Privacy Policy explains how Indiramma Illu Guide (“we”, “us”, “our”), the operator of indirammaillu.net (the “Site”), handles information when you visit. We are an independent informational website and are not affiliated with any government body.

The short version: we do not ask you to register, and we do not collect Aadhaar numbers, OTPs, ration card numbers, bank details or documents. Our advertising and analytics partners do set cookies and process limited technical data, as described below.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The Site is operated by the publisher of Indiramma Illu Guide, contactable at [email protected]. For requests under applicable data-protection law, that address is our point of contact.

2. Information we collect

a) Information you give us voluntarily. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you provide it, and the contents of your message. We use it only to reply to you and keep a record of the correspondence.

b) Information collected automatically. Like almost every website, our hosting provider and our analytics and advertising partners automatically receive technical data when a page loads, which may include:

  • your IP address (often truncated or anonymised by the processing partner);
  • browser type, operating system, device type and screen size;
  • the page you requested, the page that referred you, and the date and time;
  • approximate location derived from your IP address, typically at city or region level;

c) Information we do not collect. We do not operate application forms, logins or payments. We never ask for or store Aadhaar numbers, one-time passwords, Food Security Card numbers, bank account or card details, or uploaded documents. If you send such information to us by email anyway, we will delete it.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

4. Advertising, including Google AdSense

This Site is free to read and is funded by advertising. We work with third-party advertising networks, which may include Google and its certified partners.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve advertisements based on your prior visits to this Site or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices or optout.networkadvertising.org.
  • Where required by law, we ask for your consent before non-essential advertising and measurement cookies are set, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time.
  • Third-party advertising networks may also use technologies in the adverts they serve that send information such as your IP address, browser and device data directly to them. We do not control those technologies and do not receive that data.

If we display affiliate or sponsored links, we may earn a commission when you use them. This never changes what we write, and such placements are identified where required.

5. Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools (for example Google Analytics or a similar service) to understand aggregate traffic patterns — which pages are read, from which countries, on which devices. This is used to improve the guide. Where the tool supports it, we enable IP anonymisation and disable the sharing of data for advertising purposes.

6. Why we process data, and on what legal basis

  • To operate and secure the Site — necessary for our legitimate interest in providing a working, abuse-free website.
  • To reply to your messages — necessary to respond to your own request.
  • To measure audience in aggregate — our legitimate interest in improving content, or your consent where required.
  • To show personalised advertising — your consent, where consent is required in your jurisdiction.
  • To comply with law — where we are under a legal obligation.

7. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. Data may be processed on our behalf by, or shared with, categories of providers necessary to run the Site: web hosting and content-delivery providers, analytics providers, advertising networks and their certified partners, and email providers. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, or to protect our rights.

8. International transfers

Our providers may process data on servers outside India, including in the United States and the European Union. Where such transfers happen, they rely on the safeguards offered by those providers, such as standard contractual clauses.

9. Retention

Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle the matter and for a reasonable record afterwards. Server logs and analytics data are retained for a limited period in line with our providers' defaults, and advertising cookies expire according to the periods set by the relevant vendor.

10. Your rights and choices

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you, and request a copy.
  • Ask us to correct or delete it.
  • Object to, or withdraw consent for, analytics and personalised advertising.
  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or browse in private mode.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

11. Children

This Site is a general-audience information guide and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Security

The Site is served over HTTPS and we keep the technical surface deliberately small — no accounts, no forms collecting sensitive data, no payment processing. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Links to other websites

We link heavily to official government portals and other third-party sites. Once you follow such a link, this policy no longer applies; please read the privacy policy of the site you have moved to. Always confirm you are on a genuine .telangana.gov.in address before entering any personal detail.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Site, the law, or our advertising partners change. The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version, and material changes will be highlighted on the Site.
